Robert Vente is a widely travelled photographer born in southern Holland. When he was 18-years old he moved to England, where he studied photography at the Guilford Art School in Surrey. After graduating (with honors) he was hired by Penguin Books in London to illustrate books. He also designed and photographed numerous book covers for many other London-based book publishers (Macmillan, Pan Books, Sphere Books, Granada, etc.)
Robert has also worked for various magazines. AtSkateboard, he became known for experimenting with ultra wide-angle lenses, as well as motordrive and "fill-flash" techniques. Articles on his work have been published in Photo-Technique Magazine, and also featured in the British Journal of Photography yearbook.
